University Of Michigan College Of Engineering is trying to get these gadgets used for spying purposes I presume, in times of war.

Basically it's a 6″ robotic spy plane that is made similar to a bat, as you can see in this picture above. Known as COM-BAT, it uses a very low-powered miniature radar and a sensitive navigation system to help it find its way even in the dark!
Its power comes from solar energy, wind, vibration and other sources to help keep its battery going. I love technology!

A $10 million dollar grant to the University from the Army is already underway to get this gadget off the ground and flying.
